Natural techniques for the navigation and interaction in virtual environments can improve usability significantly. For this purpose, possibilities for the combination of different input modalities shall be examined, such as hand and finger gestures (multi-touch) and gaze control, to allow for a multimodal acquaintance with such environments. Gaze can, for example, be used for selecting objects, while multi-touch interaction is used for manipulation. A diploma or master thesis would have to deal with the development of concepts for multimodal interaction techniques in virtual environments. Selected concepts shall be implemented and tested via a user study. Further specification of tasks can follow after consultation.
