Abstract
Moire patterns are formed when two or more sets of lines intersect in an overlapping fashion. Since their discovery with fabric design, various methods have been developed to create these patterns. In this artistic statement and tutorial, a product-delay algorithm is used in both rectangular and polar coordinates to create interesting MoireH patterns. It is shown that MoireH patterns with a variety of folded shapes and structure can be produced by using the product-delay algorithm in polar coordinates.
